January is a chilly month even here in Hawai‘i.It seems as if after all the parties, feasts and overall stress of the holiday season; many of us succumb to the winter maladies.

Citrus grows in abundance during the winter months
Oranges, lemons, limes, tangelos, tangerines, yuzu, etrogs, calamansi, grapefruits, pomelos and kumquats are dotting the landscape with their colorful and cheery fruit. Have you ever popped open a finger lime or juiced a pink lemon? There are so many varieties of citrus growing in Hawaii that I don’t know all of their names! All are delicious and help combat the common cold
Combine citrus and honey and you have a double dose of goodness and protection.
